The script is impeccable; looking and reading like a man after a styled haircut. Cold. Almost written by Pat Bateman himself. Facinating. Sexy. Crude. More violence may have better revealed Bateman's lack of morality, such as killing a newly bought puppy. Alas, Guinevere Turner is a beautiful creature. Great. Limey (9 out of 10 )
Great film, a stylish jet black comedy that is surprisingly much better than the book.
In its latter stages, the book becomes so twisted that I simply couldn't stomach it, and I have a strong stomach! Some of the details make you genuinely worried about the mental health of Bret Easton Ellis. It is still unfinished on my bookshelf after about five years. Cody Lee (8 out of 10 )
Most underrated movie of all-timeGreyson Futrell (8 out of 10 )
If you take a sleek black underling of a comedy and twist it into a horror-thriller you get an extremely underrated facinating story about serial killer named Patrick Batman. Polished but not flawless the crude, sexy, bloody violence does not overkill itself or insist upon itself in any form (or none that I can see). Surprisingly one of the fair gems in a lack-luster genre.Patrick Evans (10 out of 10 )
Not a comedy at all. Black humor maybe. Very well directed and scripted. The music to the film is llike no other film I have seen. It flows flawlessly. Patrick Bateman is played by Christian Bale to the T. His performance is oscar worthy. I wish I had his lack of emotion.Milo (8 out of 10 )
Black comedy, Patrick, is the same thing as black humour.dave (10 out of 10 )
Personal favorite. I had to give this film 10 stars due to Bale's ingenious performance and an enthralling script. I had a wonderful time watching this flick and I would recommend it to anyone who delves in the dark side of film .
Bale, incontestably played an oscar worthy role. Im a firm believer that great actors can make a boring movie interesting to certain viewers, but when someone ca strike gold on each component of the film such as music, script, acting,. etc, It gives me more hope in the film industry during a "lackluster genre".LUCKVIKI (9 out of 10 )
The movie is a tad cryptic for my taste but makes up for it in proper story and character development.
